Even if the listener knows nothing about football, this audiobook will tick all the boxes: engaging--check, hilarious--check, informative--check. Wiley loves to talk, and he does an amazing job of describing his young life in the 'hood in Compton, California, and his rise and fall in the NFL. He establishes a connection with his audience so quickly that listeners will think they are having a one-on-one conversation with him. He chose to attend Columbia University because he wanted to be sure he could take care of his family should football not work out. Listeners will enjoy his comedic timing and his stories but need to be prepared for street talk throughout much of his presentation. E.E.S. © AudioFile 2019, Portland, Maine [Published: JANUARY 2019]
