Audiobook lovers will be drawn to Miller's latest mystery because of its catchy title; its seasoned narrator, Nancy Wu; and an engaging premise. An ex-wife, the current wife, and her daughter join together to uncover malfeasance and murder. In a story of guns, gangsters, ruthless lawyers, and money laundering, the three women become caught up in violence. Wu narrates in a cool and controlled voice, and the characters come across as typical New Yorkers with varying accents and emotional responses. Long passages of narrative distract from hearing the characters themselves. But listeners will enjoy the plot twists and high-adrenaline moments in this mystery.
