DEATH BY JURY

by | Read by Eliot Kohen

Mystery & Suspense • 3 hrs. • Abridged • ©

St. Louis banker Roger Dupont is facing the death penalty for the murder of his wife. Convinced that his client is guilty, attorney Lawrence Fleck hires private investigator Nudger to find the evidence to convince his client to plea bargain. But Nudger suspects something is amiss. Lutz's witty, wicked and humorous dialogue sounds even better when heard aloud. As Nudger, Kohen's voice is clear and pleasant; he effectively uses nasally Midwestern accents and vocal inflections to indicate other characters. His smarmy representation of Fleck causes the listener to distrust and dislike the arrogant and annoying lawyer and root for a solution that will put him in his place.
