THE SNIPER'S WIFE

by | Read by Christopher Graybill

Mystery & Suspense • 8.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2002

Willie Kunkle, Vermont cop, goes to New York to find out if or why his ex-wife committed suicide. He gets more than he bargained for. Christopher Graybill's pleasant narrative voice contrasts well with the edge he gives Willie, his gruff supervisor, and the villains he encounters in the big city. But an otherwise effective presentation is tarnished by the tracking stops that interrupt the dramatic flow. Sometimes they occur between a question and its reply. Graybill does his best with the story's exciting ending, set in a deserted military prison, but again there are those annoying stops. Listen to the cassette version. J.B.G.
