DEATH WEARS A RED HAT

William X. Kienzle presents another Father Koesler mystery in which a bizarre series of murders begins with a victim's head being discovered beneath a cardinal's red hat. Subsequent heads are discovered mounted on the statues of Catholic saints in various churches around Detroit. Edward Holland as super-sleuth Father Koesler convincingly portrays heartless con artists, victimized senior citizens, puzzled cops, a voodoo priestess and concerned priests. This unabridged novel is full of twists and turns, detailed police reports, unorthodox rituals, and numerous subplots.
