Sundeen, a writer with a huge ego, seems to enjoy suffering for his art. He is given an offer to write a book about bullfighting and accepts this offer with great gusto. Somewhere in this story it becomes apparent that the author's alter ego, Travis LaFrance, intrudes, takes over this work, and never leaves. Indeed, this work is definitely about Sundeen/LaFrance and not about bullfighting. Robertson Dean gives a robust and flamboyant performance that perfectly befits Sundeen/LaFrance. In fact, his performance is the only reason to listen to this because at the end one wonders what it was all about. M.T.F. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine [Published: JUN/ JUL 04]
