KING ARTHUR'S SISTER IN WASHINGTON'S COURT

by | Read by Danielle Cohen

Science Fiction • 8.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2015

This audiobook is a twist on the Mark Twain classic A CONNECTICUT YANKEE IN KING ARTHUR'S COURT, and narrator Danielle Cohen is comfortable delivering his flowery style. Arthur's sister, Morgan le Fay, time travels for the purpose of preventing "Sir Boss" from coming to her time and turning her world upside down. But she overshoots her mark, landing in Washington, DC, in 2079. Cohen's haughty and arrogant voice is perfect for Morgan when she becomes the owner of a major league baseball team while adjusting to not being recognized as a queen. Cohen uses a number of accents that seem off the mark, but it's a minor distraction. Familiarity with the original Twain story adds to the fun but is not necessary to appreciate the humor, satire, and commentary in this one.
