Narrator Joe Arden performs his best "uh-oh" maneuvers when Josh accidentally texts a picture of his "junk" to a complete stranger. Peyton, portrayed by Savannah Peachwood, is equally offended and intrigued by Josh's text and follow-up apology. Surprise! Josh turns out to be her new business partner. Arden navigates Ryan's "meet-cute" premise with wry masculine deprecation that turns sensual in Josh's intimate scenes with Peyton. Peachwood leads off with a frustratingly slow, calm narration, becoming more in sync with Peyton in the second half of the audiobook. Over time, her lovely tone sounds more natural, and she conveys Peyton's insecurities. Listeners who can push past Peachwood's uneven start will enjoy the naughty contemporary premise and the dual narration. C.A. © AudioFile 2019, Portland, Maine [Published: MAY 2019]
