Narrator Sophie Amoss's animated performance is spot-on for this genre-bending story of women enrolled in a highly selective master's program in creative writing at a school named Warren. Samantha Mackey, a scholarship student, has trouble connecting with her rich female classmates, until--against her better judgment--she agrees to attend one of their parties. Falling down a rabbit hole, Samantha finds herself entangled in the lives of a group who call each other "Bunny." By the time Samantha realizes she's alienated herself from her only non-Bunny friend, it may be too late for her to escape. Besides delivering the understated humor with aplomb, Amoss perfectly conjures Samantha's inner reactions to the bizarre world she slips into, helping listeners feel her wonder, horror, and defenselessness.
