This moving narrative by Ed and Lois Smart, the Mormon parents whose daughter was kidnapped and missing for nearly a year, commands listener attention. While their fascinating story sometimes turns evangelical, ultimately it is a moving account of their family's faith while living a nightmare. We admire and respect these remarkable people for their heroic grace under pressure, even with their sometimes admittedly naïve worldview. Their account sheds important light on how criminal investigations can be conducted--and misconducted--reaffirming the importance of not rushing to judgment before knowing all the facts.
