THE WAREHOUSE

A trio of talented narrators tackles a dystopian cyberthriller in which Cloud, a tech company akin to Amazon, has taken over the American marketplace. Paxton, a new employee whose business fell prey to Cloud, and Zinnia, a corporate infiltrator, take the lead as the darkness behind Cloud's glossy exterior comes to light. Emily Woo Zeller, Jason Culp, and Karissa Vacker alternate the narration as Paxton and Zinnia avoid being swallowed up by the massive company and a surprisingly engaging third character steals the show. The polished and perfectly amiable façade of Cloud's CEO barely covers his ruthlessness. The story is all too plausible as it blends social commentary with a compelling thriller.
