Twenty-six-year-old Adam Cassidy works for a hi-tech company when he’s caught redirecting funds for his own use with fancy computing and stealth. Instead of incarceration, he’s given a chance to spy on the competition. As Jason Priestley narrates this story of corporate espionage, his matter-of-fact tone detracts from the story’s tension. Overall, his voice fails to capture Cassidy’s emotions, especially his anxiety at being caught. The abridgment of this thriller chops up the audiobook, but the basic story line shines through to the end. M.B.K. © AudioFile 2004, Portland, Maine [Published: AUG/ SEP 04]
