Police Inspector Richard Jury, along with his entourage of friends and associates, sets out to discover the connection between three killings that have taken place across three counties in contemporary England. That connection, he believes, will lead to the identity of the killer. Narrator Steve West is perfectly matched to this story. His delivery has confidence and authority, qualities that fit the lead character. West also brings the large cast of characters alive and authentically reflects the various accents and intonations of the English class system. This 25th entry in the Jury series has many characters and backstories. Because of this, it could be a confusing listen for someone entering the series at this point.
