SAVAGE TIDE

Detective Steve Madden has a hard time with the news that his son is gay. Harder still is his complicated reaction to finding the victim of a brutal murder a few days later. Narrator Sean Baker performs the story from Madden's point of view, showing a proficiency for all the voices of the story. His harsh and gritty tone captures Madden's rage, as well as his frustration and determination to solve the crime. Baker's vocal differentiation sorts out the characters, allowing his talent to shine in both the dialogue and narrative.
