AND THE BRIDE CLOSED THE DOOR

Narrator Deepti Gupta gives life to all the fabulous characters in this story, translated from Hebrew. The audiobook opens with a repeated statement coming from behind a door that has been closed for five hours. This is the only time we get to hear the bride, Margi, speak. "Not getting married," she says, without much emotion. The chaos begins as the appointed hour for the wedding grows nearer and more family members start to arrive. Speculation, concerns, and problem- solving ideas come from all. Gupta does a great job voicing all the characters, with their compassion and concern, as well as their disdain.
