In The Executioner series a soldier of fortune does battle against various foes. In these three works the foes are: extremist right-wing militias; Bosnian-Serbs; and extremist Afrikaners and Zulus in South Africa. These popular works have plenty of action as the protagonist dispatches his adversaries much as one might gobble down M&M’s. Arthur reads these testosterone-charged works adroitly. His deadpan reading style is by no means boring. Rather, it emphasizes the deadly earnestness with which the Executioner goes about his business.
