Megellas was a platoon and company leader during WWII, serving in Italy, Holland, and Germany. Eventually, he became the most decorated officer of the 82nd Airborne Division. In this highly personal memoir, he recalls comrades, many of whom never returned home, and the stress of battle. Davidson gives a splendid performance.
