CROSSING THE THRESHOLD OF HOPE

The 1994 sourcebook is a compilation of Pope John Paul II's written answers to a journalist's questions. Though many criticize the pope, here he gives brilliant and hopeful responses to tough questions about prayer, his relationship with Jesus, evangelism, the fall of communism, suffering, evil, and the contradictions of the world's other religions. His message is that once you fully consider the New Testament, other approaches to God won't make sense. Faith is the journey taken to get past the despair of godlessness, a journey that, interpreted by this pope, is supported by 2,000 years of the Church's love of humanity.
