THE DOORBELL RANG

This is actually two novels, each abridged to one cassette. THE DOORBELL RANG is a unique case in which FBI agents appear as the bad guys. The second novel, CHAMPAGNE FOR ONE, involves the almost perfect murder of a socialite, which is disguised as an apparent suicide. Both feature the usual cast of characters in a Nero Wolfe novel: Wolfe, Archie Goodwin, and Lt. Cramer. Wolfe, of course, solves both cases. Saul Rubinek narrates both and gives distinct and convincing voices to each of the major characters. His Wolfe is entirely believable.
