Michael Prichard clearly and carefully reads with a sophisticated, but not effete, voice. His pace is excellent, and his reading demonstrates a careful understanding of the text. While the biography considers Bush's early life, it emphasizes his later political career. Wicker presents Bush as being kind to friends and vicious towards political opponents, especially those running against him for public office.
