Narrators Laurie West and Tor Thom bring to life the romance of Bella Sunshine Caldwell and Gabe Garcia. Bella is a widowed mother who owns a bridal firm, where Gabe works as a consultant. Gabe has always cared for Bella, and Thom deepens his voice when Gabe is finally able to express himself to her. West gives one of Bella's sisters a more take-charge tone and the other a more devil-may-care one. Bella worries about committing to Gabe, who has an undeserved reputation as a player, and West capably expresses Bella's tentativeness. Both Thom and West have distinctive voices, and it can be a jarring when the narration shifts from one to the other. However, once the change is made, listeners can adjust to each of them.
