KIND OF A BIG DEAL

Narrator Amanda Dolan uses a drama-filled voice to portray Josie, an 18-year-old high school dropout who has recently moved to Montana after attempting to make it big on Broadway. Upon her arrival, a local bookstore clerk gives her a pair of reading glasses and a book. As she starts to read, she is magically transported into the story and a world shaped by her imagination. Dolan easily shifts from one character to the next, creating a unique world for each of the story settings that Josie visits. Listeners will enjoy the many literary references as Josie ventures into adulthood and discovers her true aspirations in this fantastical coming-of-age story.
