A 69-year-old solo bicyclist in a mountainous foreign country would be remarkable in itself, but Enfield is also a first-rate reporter and presenter. Much of his trip takes place in the Peloponnese, the peninsula in southern Greece, while later sections involve the northwest section near Corfu. Enfield brings a dry wit and enthusiasm to descriptions of scenery, food, people he meets, places he stays, and local history.
