LOATHE AT FIRST SIGHT

Narrator Greta Jung delivers an eccentric performance of this romantic comedy. Melody, a video game producer, feels she has no voice among her staff. On top of her work woes, she's resisting her parents' wishes for her to marry. But when a new intern named Nolan who is assigned to her turns out to be a witty and attractive young man, she begins to question her own intentions. Jung's portrayal of Melody is excellent. She's depicted as a skeptical young professional who has bitter opinions about love and a desire to dismantle the sexism in her workplace. The romance scenes are sparser than those in most rom-coms, but Jung's delivery feels natural and has enough friction to keep listeners engaged.
