DYING FOR YOU

Although touted as a children's title, this story is more appropriate for young adults. Two rock bands are vying for the Number One song on Britain's "Top of the Pops." Belbin presents a behind-the-scenes view of modern music. Brigit Forsyth is a completely inappropriate narrator for a cast of teens and twenties. Her delivery is totally unbelievable; her voice even quivers at times. The voices of the kids are inappropriate to the text and its range of emotion. This is unforgivable since the title will appeal to reluctant and unlikely listeners, who will be turned off by her presentation.
