EAT THE RICH

by | Read by P.J. O'Rourke

Contemporary Culture • 3 hrs. • Abridged • © 1998

Satirist O'Rourke does a nice job narrating his own treatise on world economics. Why are some countries rich and some poor, he asks, and then proceeds to employ his world travels and research to answer his own question. He is blessed with a pleasant, expressive baritone, with a liquid note like one of those techies who love to spew forth incomprehensible terms. O'Rourke is, thank goodness, very comprehensible. In fact, he's not only funny, but actually instructive. Y.R. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: APR/MAY 99]
