Three eccentric octogenarians and a much younger bookstore owner try to solve a fifty-year-old disappearance in the small town of Sugar Springs, Mississippi, in this cozy mystery audiobook, narrated by Marie Hoffman. Though the audio performance is disappointing, the story will entertain, in particular with the feisty portrayals of its nosy trio of senior citizen book club members. Confusingly, Hoffman uses accents for only a few of the characters, and those do not ring true. Camille, who moved from Australia years earlier, has a strange and unidentifiable accent.
