Harvard law professor Noah Feldman offers a reasonably balanced examination of the Federalist Society, a private conservative organization that was founded in 1982 by law students from Harvard, Yale, and the University of Chicago. Its members want to check federal power and advance their view of liberty. Six of our sitting Supreme Court justices are or have been Society members. Though Feldman's narration is pleasant and well enunciated, this work is an audio pastiche peppered with original news coverage and distracting sound effects. Feldman's tones as he lists his subpoints are distracting rather than helpful. This program was adapted from Feldman's political theory podcast and is unlike a traditional audiobook, but there is much jurisprudence to learn here.
