Narrator Rosalyn Landor returns with the eighth in the Bridgerton series, and she's simply marvelous. The story revolves around Gregory, the youngest male Bridgerton and the only one unmarried. Gregory believes in true love. He falls in lust at first sight with Hermione, but it is her wallflower friend Lucy who is tasked with entertaining him while Hermione pursues her own heart's desire. Complications and devious plotting abound, and Landor does everything right to enchant and delight. Her portrayals of Quinn's women characters are witty, wily, or airheaded. Her men sound virile, intense, and completely dedicated to seduction or chicanery. This delightful Regency romance isn't the strongest in the series, but with Landor's remarkable range of voices at the helm, it's smooth listening all the way. S.J.H.
