Kevin Corcoran, an accomplished and well-known professor, narrates this introduction to philosophy and how to apply it to one's life. Organized into 15 lectures, Corcoran's tome surveys the works of philosophers from Aristotle to Descartes to David Foster Wallace. He is a skilled lecturer, though not a polished audiobook narrator--but this is by no means a negative criticism. Essentially, the professor is giving his lectures to the listener rather than giving a performance of a work of literature. His pacing is not necessarily consistent, but then these are lectures. Those who wish to be introduced to philosophy should find this a positive listening experience. M.T.F. © AudioFile 2021, Portland, Maine [Published: JULY 2021]
