Jonathon Marosz reads this collection of dryly comic pieces wonderfully, but at first there seems to be little reason to do so. Falanga's observations are very subtle, and their humor depends on the way he weaves references to early jokes into his stories. As the humor builds, though, Marosz shows why he was chosen for this task. His delivery is full of an irony that is surprisingly rich for humor about the many ups and downs the author suffers in suburbia.
