CLEOPATRA'S TOMB Maggie Edwards Adventures, Book 1

Booby-trapped Egyptian tombs, tomb raiders, an Australian heartthrob, and buried treasure--what's not to like in this debut adventure in the Maggie Edwards mystery series? This audio production has exciting moments and a wonderful description of the desert sky, but somehow, despite its many attributes and a satisfying narration by narrator Cathi Colas, it is less than enchanting. Colas is unable to enliven the heroine, Maggie, who seems self-centered and lacking in any knowledge, or even interest in, history and/or archaeology despite having received a bejeweled scarab from her kidnapped uncle, an archaeologist.
