In a breezy and positive lesson, the author tells us that ACCURATE eating helped him go from 300 to 160 pounds. Instead of calorie restrictions alone, give your body the types of food it wants and learn to sense how much of each food is good for you. Calling this mindfulness applied to eating, this approach allows people to enjoy food instead of fussing over it. Good writing allows the information and personal experiences to flow nicely into a digestible series of conclusions. The narrator's attempt to be engaging with this material falls flat because of his forced enthusiasm.
