THE HELLION'S WALTZ Feminine Pursuits

Narrator Morag Sims captures the romance between a piano teacher and a labor activist. Sophie Roseingrave has relocated to Carrisford with her family after a terrible ordeal in London; Maddie Crewe is planning a con to rid the town of an unscrupulous local merchant. Sims portrays the pair as young women who have been hurt in the past but who are still cautiously open to life's possibilities. As their relationship blossoms, so does their confidence, which Sims projects with a subtle lightening of tone.
