AN EQUAL MUSIC

In this gentle and melancholy romance, a British concert violinist rekindles an affair with the love of his life, a beautiful (and married) pianist who is going deaf. Alan Bates sounds a bit too old for the musician-narrator but otherwise gives this fine abridgment just the right note of piquancy.
