TRAITOR

Tom tells the story of the three strange girls who stop him on his way home from school demanding money. As narrated by Glen McCready, the scene grabs listeners and infuses the boy's fear into their very bones. Following is narrator Lisa Coleman, who portrays the fright of Mia, the bold extortion trio's next victim. Together McCready and Coleman build suspense as points of view shift and emotions rise and fall when Tom, Mia, and their friend Oliver plot to foil their attackers. Both narrators convey the characters' misery as they begin to believe Oliver may be less a victim and more their betrayer. British slang adds to the authenticity of a story set near London.
