ANY PLACE I HANG MY HAT

As her biological clock ticks more and more loudly, and her two-year relationship heads south rather than down the aisle, magazine journalist Amy Lincoln confronts her issues with trust and intimacy and begins a tentative search for the mother who abandoned her in infancy. This book is typical Isaacs, breezy and filled with quirky characters and sardonic observations of modern life and relationships. The journey is entertaining, and the resolution brings satisfaction and healing. While the pace is good, Jane Adams's reading is otherwise mostly flat.
