EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW

by | Read by Edward Lewis

Contemporary Culture • 15 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1995

Although this popular journalist's account of the Ruby Ridge incident has occasional dramatic passages, it's mostly objective in tone, offering little scope for oral interpretation. It is, however, a fascinating story, and Edward Lewis provides an ideal transcription. His voice is pleasant, and he reads at a fairly quick pace with impeccable diction. At first, he seems a little too detached from his material, but as the chapters progress, his treatment fares much better than readings of journalistic writing that try to invest every line with high drama. Lewis lets the facts speak for themselves. J.N. ©AudioFile, Portland, Maine [Published: APR/MAY 97]
