HELLO BUNNY ALICE

Living alone in the Oxfordshire countryside, Bunny Girl Alice Jones still grieves the death of her lover, world-famous comedian Lenny Maxted. Unexpectedly, Lenny’s comic partner, Jack Flowers, shows up on her doorstep, seven years after the funeral. Narrator Anna Bentinck expertly captures the horror and terror that Alice goes through during one day when Jack turns her peaceful home into an armed fortress. Bentinck’s performance is remarkable as she conveys down-to-earth warmth, craziness, drunkenness, and pain in the unrelenting buildup to the chilling climax. At times, it seems that Bunny Alice is reminiscing out loud to a close friend--the listener--as she demonstrates just how much a celebrity can get away with in our star-struck times.
