THE UNHEARD

Olivia Vinall's narration of this psychological thriller is outstanding. Vinall vividly depicts Tess, a single mother, who is desperately protecting her 3-year-old daughter, who may have witnessed a brutal murder. Vinall's smooth and charming voice enriches the text with a swift yet comfortable pace. As conflict intensifies, the panic, uncertainty, and suspicion Tess experiences are expertly conveyed. Moreover, Vinall deserves high praise for delivering a credible performance of the erratic emotions and dialogue of 3-year-old Poppy as she attempts to communicate her fear and confusion. When Tess begins suspecting all the men in her life, Vinall expresses the emotions of secondary characters with clear and convincing portrayals.
