An Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster and unabashed fan of the game, Costas makes an impassioned yet reasoned case to save baseball. Critical parts of his plan include revenue sharing by all teams and fiscal responsibility by superstar players. Costas also makes a case for abolishing the designated hitter, interleague plan, and wild-card playoffs. For many people, myself among them, Costas is one of a few premier sportscasters, his smooth voice and delivery easily recognizable. However, he begins this program speaking too quickly, as if he can't wait to say his piece. He soon moderates his pace to a normal level, and his voice never is strident.
