OLIVIA KIDNEY

When Olivia and her father take up residence in a new apartment building, they both have much to learn about the building's occupants and each other. As superintendent, George Kidney has duties to fulfill, leaving Olivia time to find the friendships she desperately needs. Her search takes her in and out of apartments and in and out of a fantasy world. Among others, listeners will meet Branwell, Sidi, and Madame Brenda, whose personal stories tell of aerial views, old farms, and séances. Characters and events, real and imaginary, intertwine at a dizzying pace. With a clear voice and steady pace, Tara Sands leads the listener through Olivia's discoveries and developing friendships. Sands narrates Olivia as the young lady she is--with all the squeals, awe, and disbelief of a young person, while also providing distinguishing vocal traits for the supporting cast. A.R.
