A LITTLE BOOK OF FORGIVENESS

A 90-page book enjoying its tenth anniversary in print is the basis for this one-hour lesson on the virtues of forgiveness. The message is one everyone could benefit from, in spite of arguments that occasionally rest on sloppy social science and a tone that has a preachy edge. Worse than these are two production flaws that are so glaring they make listening painful: an overly earnest, almost plaintive, reading by Gene Bogart and electronic background music in a discordant minor key that creates an atmosphere of mystery and the occult.
