The prolific Dr. Joe Schwartz has been hosting a popular Montreal radio show about everyday science for some 30 years now, so it's a bit surprising that he has always handed over the microphone to another narrator for his audiobooks. Fellow Canadian Raoul Bhaneja gets the assignment for this latest collection of essays that focus mainly on the COVID pandemic and related topics. Bhaneja captures the author's irreverent, populist tone, though his pace is perhaps a tad slow. What shines through in his narration are Schwartz's passion for science and his fervent wish that the public embrace its lessons during a period when we need them most.
