Narrators Mackenzie Cartwright and Alexander Cendese combine talents for this short yet enjoyable romance between drummer Axel Forrester and veterinarian Tara Stillman. For Axel, Tara has always been the one who got away. When he discovers that they are finally in the same area, Axel borrows his bandmate's dog to reconnect with Tara. Cendese's and Cartwright's performances both convey the excitement of Tara and Axel's rediscovered love. Cartwright is more skillful in delivering both male and female voices. Cendese's deep tone matches the male characters well, but his female voices tend to have a nasal quality. This shouldn't detract from the listening experience, especially for an audience looking for a quick and pleasurable way to spend a couple of hours.
