The personal stories and essays in this collection are wonderfully varied but united by Coyote’s unique combination of insight, poignancy, and humor. Their powers really shine in one of the final pieces, in which Coyote answers emails from readers. As they reply, their voice covers the spectrum from frustration and exasperation to genuine empathy and understanding, punctuated with laugh-out-loud surprises.
