FIFTH LIFE OF THE CATWOMAN

Living the fifth of her nine lives, Kat is drawn out of her isolated world, spent in the company of 50 cats, to serve as a gifted and innovative teacher of history. Cindy Hollenberg brings to life this half-woman/half-cat who has much to teach her students and the listener. A slight reverberation is used to set apart her mind speech with the cats and with her kindred spirit (and principal), Angelo. Breaks in the story are separated by the sound of a meow and a brief pause, which serve their purpose without seeming too corny.
