Magic is part of everyday life in the Land, but when spells start to fail, villagers get angry and look for the source of their trouble. Young Rhianna unwittingly becomes both the cause of the problem and the village savior. Mikaela Martin does a fine job animating Rhianna and personifying the mighty dragon. Martin makes the listener care for Rhianna as she learns about her life-altering gift and her need to rein in her magic. The mean Mr. Spellright and his evil nephew, Rory, are keenly characterized.
