With the unerring eye of a journalist, Smith presents her audience with short, powerful monologues from a panoply of characters. Her rich performance brings each of these distinct people to life; through words and intonation, cadence and inflection she builds her cast authentically. She elucidates their humanity. Her greatest skill proves to be her thoughtful and compassionate juxtaposition of divergent personalities whose contradictory thoughts capture complex human truths.
