This first volume of Greek myths is interesting but uneven. Michael Scott clearly believes in the dignity and importance of these myths, projecting his voice well, as if orating rather than telling a story. He captures their lofty feel, but, as a result, doesn't distinguish among different characters much. There are some oddities here. The title indicates this is a collection of Greek myths, but it uses the Roman names for some of the gods (and the Greek for others). No writer or translator is credited, so listeners can't check the sources. G.T.B. © AudioFile 2005, Portland, Maine [Published: OCT/NOV 05]
